VERMONT REFUGEE ASSISTANCE
Vermont Refugee Assistance (VRA) was founded in 1987 to support refugees fleeing civil wars in Central America. Since then, this grassroots volunteer non-profit organization has helped thousands of refugees from all over the world. VRA assists those seeking asylum, who are often detained in Vermont jails, and helps immigrants with legal and other assistance. VRA also seeks to educate U.S. citizens and increase their participation in regional, national, and international refugee and immigration issues.
We are a 501(c)(3) corporation and all contributions are tax-deductible. Please read our FAQ page to learn more about VRA’s history and activities.
